LAS CORPORACIONES MINERAS ATROPELLAN NUESTROS DERECHOS CON LA COMPLICIDAD DEL GOBIERNO DE CORREA

Cuando el gobierno de la “revolución ciudadana” prepara las plumas para firmar los famosos contratos mineros, vale hacer la pregunta: ¿Qué importancia tiene en esta “revolución”, la Constitución y los derechos del pueblo? Y la respuesta es NINGUNA. Esto lo decimos porque, si en algo les importara no estarían tan empeñados en “cerrar las negociaciones”, cuando fundamentales derechos han sido violados con la entrega de las concesiones, la no aplicación del Mandato Minero y las “autorizaciones” para el inicio de la explotación de los “proyectos estrellas”.

En primer lugar, y como ya lo venimos diciendo desde hace años, jamás han existido procesos de consulta previa a las comunidades, ni para entregar esas concesiones, ni durante todos estos años han estado dando con las famosas “autorizaciones”, licencias, en fin, todo ese papeleo sin sentido, porque jamás se cumplió con lo que establecía la constitución anterior, ni la actual.
Frente a esta violación de derechos humanos y constitucionales, lo que le queda a los cómplices de las transnacionales es hacer una campaña mediática para tapar como el gato toda la porquería. Hablan de que las empresas han cumpliendo con todos los “requisitos”, que se han socializado los proyectos y que la gente está “informada” y “feliz” con la minería. ¡Cuánta falsedad y desfachatez!

En el caso del proyecto Río Blanco en Molleturo, por ejemplo, dicen que la empresa IMC ya ha cumplido con los “requisitos” para la licencia ambiental, ¡qué vergüenza! Molleturo tiene 72 comunidades, y según algunas fuentes estaría bordeando los 10 mil habitantes, y la famosa “socialización” solo se hizo en 1, lo subrayamos una comunidad, la de Río Blanco (que está junto a la mina), donde según un informe de los funcionarios del Ministerio de Ambiente dicen que hubo 100 personas, pero contando también con “funcionarios de diversas instituciones… promotores del proyecto, equipo consultor”. Entonces al final no hubo ni cien moradores, y habría que ver realmente si fueron tantos como dicen. Luego los participantes: sólo pro-mineros que hacen unas cuantas preguntitas para justificar y ya, “todos contentos” Y con esas mamarrachadas dicen que ya está cumplido “el requisito” y sigue adelante los trámites para la licencia de explotación. Por favor, esto es una burla, una sandez, una ridiculez.

First of all, and as we have been saying for years, there have never been any consultation processes to communities before giving these concessions or before giving the famous "authorization" licenses; in fact, the government has never acted according to the previous or current Constitutions.

Given this violation of human and constitutional rights, what all the accomplices of the transnational companies are doing is carry out a media campaign to cover up what is going on . They say that the companies have fulfilled all the "requirements", that their plans have been explained to people and therefore people are well "informed" and "happy" about mining. Of course, this is false!!

For instance, in the case of The Rio Blanco mining plan in Molleturo, they say the IMC Company has fulfilled all the "requirements" for the environmental license. What a lie! It’s really shameful! Molleturo has 72 communities and, according to some sources, it has about 10,000 inhabitants, and the famous "socialization" (information meeting) was only made in one community, The Rio Blanco community, which is located next to a mine.
